Biography
Fr Munn studied mathematics at the University of Warwick gaining his PhD in 2002 in differential geometry and gauge theory. He undertook post-doctoral research at Imperial College London for two years under Professors John Gibbon and Darryl Holm examining the geometry of water-waves on surfaces with rotational symmetry.
Following this, Fr Munn became a school teacher at an independent school. During this time he was ordained a priest in the Anglican Catholic Church (Diocese of the UK) in which he now holds the positions of Canon Theologian to the Ordinary, Dean of the Cathedral of St Augustine of Canterbury in Faversham, and Secretary to the Diocesan Board of Ministry and Education in which he advises on the academic training of ordinands and lay ministers.
Fr Munn is an oblate of the Order of St Benedict associated with Elmore Abbey, now Salisbury Priory.
Fr Munn’s research interests include the theological integrity of Anglican Catholicism, Thomistic Theology and Moral Philosophy.
